| Obverse description | Central field depicts a frontal standing figure, likely a ruler or saint, rendered in a crude Byzantine-influenced style typical of medieval Adriatic civic coinage. The figure appears robed and holds a scepter or staff in one hand, with the opposite arm extended. The design is executed in low relief with irregular flan edges characteristic of hand-hammered production. A partial legend reading VR-O-SIV is distributed around the figure in the field, referencing the Serbian overlord Stefan Uros IV Dusan. The overall artistic execution is rough, consistent with provincial mint output of the mid-fourteenth century. |

| Reverse description | Central field presents a frontal enthroned figure, rendered in a flat, schematic Byzantine manner consistent with Adriatic follaro coinage of the period. The figure, identifiable as the Virgin Mary (Maria) by the surrounding legend, is depicted seated with arms partially raised in an orant or enthroned pose. Drapery folds are summarily indicated in low relief. The legend SE-M-AR-IA P-L is distributed around the figure in the field, constituting a fragmented invocation of the Virgin as patron of the city. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, reflecting the characteristic output of the Dulcigno municipal mint under Serbian occupation. |
