| Obverse description | Printed entirely in black on blue paper, the note is divided into two panels by a vertical band bearing the text VILLE DE COMPIÈGNE in bold letterpress. The left panel carries a summary of the denomination and emission details within a plain ruled frame, while the right panel, enclosed by a decorative border of repeated rosette ornaments, presents the main text of the bon including the emission guarantee clause, the large bold denomination BON DE UN FRANC, the reimbursement condition, and blank spaces for the serial number and the countersignatures of the delegated municipal councillors and the Mayor. A rectangular dry-embossed stamp of the Mairie de Compiègne appears in the upper right area. |
