Off Broadway Drafthouse operated as a bar and entertainment venue in Madison, Wisconsin. These drink token notes were a common promotional tool among mid-sized American bars — issued as complimentary vouchers, handed out at the door, tucked into mailers, or distributed through local media partnerships. They circulated only within the establishment and had no redemption value outside it, which means most were either used immediately or discarded.
Survivors exist almost entirely because someone pocketed one and forgot about it.
