Obverse description Frontal effigy of Saint Blaise (Sv. Vlaho), patron saint of Ragusa, enthroned and vested in episcopal robes with mitre, rendered in a stylized medieval manner. The saint is depicted holding a crozier in his right hand, with the figure occupying the majority of the coin's field. A partial circular legend surrounds the design, reading S BLASIVS RAGVSII R. The hammered fabric results in slight irregularity of the flan, with the design showing characteristic wear consistent with medieval striking techniques.
