Czechoslovakia's postwar coinage program moved slowly through the early 1920s as the young republic negotiated both its political identity and its minting contracts. Trial strikes from this period were produced to test dies, compositions, and weights before full production authorization — most were never released, and survival numbers are essentially untracked. The 1 Koruna denomination in this copper-nickel composition ultimately reached circulation in a different form; this piece documents a path not taken.
