Additional information

Czechoslovakia's first postwar coinage program was a protracted bureaucratic affair — the newly independent republic spent years auditioning designs and materials before settling on final production types. This aluminium trial from 1922 was part of that evaluation process, almost certainly never intended to circulate, and surviving examples exist largely because they were retained by mint personnel or officials rather than destroyed after testing concluded.
