| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of Queen Margrethe II in right-facing profile, her hair elegantly dressed in a chignon with decorative pins, engraved in a finely detailed modern style by Frode Bahnsen. The truncation of the neck is clean and unadorned. The circular legend MARGRETHE II DANMARKS DRONNING runs along the upper periphery, while the mint master's initials and mint mark S♥B appear at the base of the portrait in the lower field.
