Reverse description The reverse presents the Peruvian national coat of arms as struck on the host 1 Sol coin, depicting a quartered shield bearing a vicuña at upper left, a cinchona tree at upper right, and a cornucopia at base. The shield is flanked by branches of palm and laurel tied at the base with a ribbon bow, and surmounted by a civic wreath. The encircling legend 'REPUBLICA PERUANA LIMA 5 DECIMOS FINO' arcs along the upper periphery in Latin script, with the date '1923' appearing in the lower exergual area. A beaded border frames the entire design.
