| Obverse description | The complete coat of arms of the Kingdom of Lesotho occupies the central field, featuring a shield bearing a crocodile, flanked by two rearing horses as supporters atop a grassy mound. Above the shield rises the traditional Basotho hat (mokorotlo) flanked by an assegai and knobkerrie. A scroll beneath the supporters bears the national motto KHOTSO PULA NALA.
