| Reverse description | The reverse displays two interlocking triangles forming a Star of David-like rhombus at the centre of the design, a motif typical of Malla-dynasty silver coinage. Within the central rhombus is a vermilion box accompanied by a conch shell and mace, sacred Vaishnava emblems. Surrounding this central device, interwoven Newari script legends read Sri Narendra Lakshmi Devi and Sri Pratapa Lakshmi Devi — the names of two queens in whose honour this mohar was jointly issued — together with the Nepali Samvat date 805. The overall composition is tightly wrought in the characteristic interlaced style of Patan mint coinage. |
