Mongolia's 1925 coinage was among the first issued by the Mongolian People's Republic following the country's declaration as a Soviet-aligned state in 1924. These copper pieces were struck in Leningrad under Soviet technical supervision, part of a complete set of denominations produced that year to replace the Chinese-influenced currency previously circulating in the region. The 1925 series remains the founding coinage of modern Mongolia.
