| Obverse description | Arabic legend in thuluth script occupying the central field, reading the name and titles of Sultan Ibrahim bin Ahmed. The inscription is arranged in two or three lines within the roughly square flan, with characteristically bold, cursive strokes typical of Ottoman-era Tunisian hammered coinage. The irregular planchet edges and uneven strike are consistent with hand-struck production of the period. |
