| Obverse description | A three-quarter portrait of Hồ Chí Minh occupies the central vignette, set against a dense letterpress underprint of repeated text reading "VIET-NAM DAN CHU CONG HOA" in both Latin script and Chinese characters. Large numeral "1$" flanks the portrait on either side, with Khmer and Chinese denomination equivalents in the upper lateral panels; serial number blocks appear at lower left and lower right, each above a handwritten signature, with the titles "GIAM ĐỐC NGÂN KHO TRUNG UONG" and "BỘ TRƯỞNG BỘ TÀI CHÍNH" respectively.
