The legend encircling this central macuquina device reads NVM REXONIARVM ET INDIARVM in archaic Latin around the inner ring. The outer border legend reads MONEDAS HISTÓRICAS VIII SERIE IBEROAMERICANA along the upper arc and LA MACUQUINA along the lower arc.
