Reverse description Reverse bears a bold Kannada or Telugu inscription arranged within a rectangular compartmented field divided by raised horizontal and vertical lines, creating a grid-like framework characteristic of Vijayanagara pagodas of this period. The lettering, rendered in an archaic southern Brahmi-derived script, occupies the principal registers of the divided field, with additional decorative or epigraphic elements visible in the margins. The hammered flan displays the typical irregular outline and surface texture associated with hand-struck gold coinage of the Sangama dynasty.
