Obverse description Central field displays a stylized hand or comb-like device composed of multiple radiating lines or fingers, rendered in the crude but characteristic style of 11th-century Norwegian hammered coinage. A cross motif intersects the design in the upper right quadrant of the field. Annulets are visible at the upper margin, serving as decorative border elements. The periphery bears a partial Latin legend reading '+ -CO O-D', with lettering interrupted by the irregular flan. The overall style reflects the influence of Anglo-Saxon and Anglo-Scandinavian die-cutting traditions prevalent during the reign of Olav Kyrre.
