Obverse description Crowned bust of the ruler facing right, with a scepter held before the face, rendered in the crude, stylized manner typical of Frisian hammered coinage of the mid-eleventh century. The effigy is set within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the field. The portrait displays characteristic flat relief with summary facial features consistent with provincial workshop production.

Reverse description The ruler's name inscribed between two horizontal beaded or reeded lines dividing the field, with the mint name of Leeuwarden split between the upper and lower registers. The design is framed by a beaded inner circle and an outer legend, presented in the terse, abbreviated epigraphic style characteristic of Frisian deniers struck under Count Bruno III. The flat, irregular flan and coarse lettering reflect typical provincial hammered technique of the period.
