| Obverse description | Crowned bust of the ruler facing right, with a scepter held before the face, rendered in the crude, stylized manner typical of Frisian hammered coinage of the mid-eleventh century. The effigy is set within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the field. The portrait displays characteristic flat relief with summary facial features consistent with provincial workshop production. |
