Reverse description A cross formed by five triangular or arrow-shaped arms radiating from a prominent central pellet, creating a pinwheel or star-like composition. The arms taper to points as they extend toward the coin's edge, giving the cross a distinctive Gothic decorative character. No legend is present; the design fills the plain field to the irregular flan edge. The relief is shallow, consistent with the hammered billon coinage of Christopher II's reign.
