| Obverse description | Christ Pantokrator depicted enthroned in full frontal Byzantine style, wearing nimbus with cross pattée; annulets positioned to the right and left of the halo serve as decorative field elements. The figure is rendered in the flat, hieratic manner characteristic of Romanesque ecclesiastical coinage strongly influenced by Byzantine iconographic conventions. Drapery folds are indicated by incised parallel lines across the garment. The overall composition is contained within the irregular flan typical of eleventh-century Danish hammered silver issues. |

| Reverse description | Saint Michael, depicted on the left in a standing attitude and turned toward the right, faces a forward-facing royal figure clad in full Byzantine ceremonial attire. Both figures jointly hold a labarum, the imperial Christian standard, at its staff between them, symbolising divine sanction of royal authority. The king's costume, including a loros-type garment, reflects the strong Byzantine cultural influence prevalent in Scandinavian royal iconography of the mid-eleventh century. The composition is rendered in the flat, incised style characteristic of hammered Danish pennies of the reign of Sven Estridsen. |
