Reverse description A voided long cross extending to the inner beaded border, with a crown or crescent motif at the top and groups of pellets disposed in the angles of the cross, typical of the debased Hiberno-Norse reverse designs imitating late Anglo-Saxon penny types. The cross arms are boldly struck, with additional pellet ornaments filling the quadrants. A blundered or partially legible legend circles the design within a beaded border, reflecting the progressive degeneration of Latin inscriptions common to anonymous Dublin issues of this period.
