Reverse description Central device consisting of a large Scottish thistle in full bloom, flanked by two smaller thistles on leafy stems, all rising from a common base. The denomination ONE PENNY TOKEN is inscribed in two arcs to the left and right of the central thistle. The date 1832 appears in the lower exergue beneath the thistle composition, with a plain milled border encircling the design.
