| Obverse description | The obverse features a centrally placed round hole surrounded by a plain inner border. Surmounting the hole at the top of the field is a large Imperial crown in high relief. The circular legend GEORGE·VI·KING·EMPEROR runs along the outer border, reading clockwise from the lower left. The entire design is contained within a toothed or beaded milled rim. |
