Additional information

Puerto Rico has no independent monetary authority and issues no official coinage — this piece is a privately produced fantasy or commemorative strike, not a government-issued currency. Sabana Grande is a municipality in the southwestern interior of the island, best known regionally for the 1953 Marian apparition claimed by three children, which drew tens of thousands of pilgrims before Church authorities declined to authenticate the event.
