| Obverse description | Left-facing draped bust of George Washington, first President of the United States (1789–1797), occupies the central field. The legend "ISLA DE PUERTO RICO" arcs along the upper periphery, with the denomination "UNA PESETA" and date "2009" along the lower periphery.
