| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black on a light guilloche underprint. At left, an intaglio portrait vignette of a gentleman in early 19th-century dress within an oval frame. The bank title EL BANCO DE CALDAS arches across the upper portion in large letters, beneath which a central cartouche bears the denomination UN PESO ORO LEGAL with interest conditions stated in smaller text. Specimen overprints appear diagonally in red, and zeroed serial numbers 00000 are printed in red at upper left and upper right. |
