Obverse description Central field bears the large numeral '1' above the inscription 'DACHAU' in the lower central area. Surrounding the central design, a circular legend reads 'OTTMAR OPFINGER RESTAURATEUR' arranged around the full circumference. The rim is decorated with a continuous border of raised beads. The overall style is typical of German notgeld token coinage of the early twentieth century, with plain fields and utilitarian lettering.
