Obverse description Central shield bearing a cross, rendered in a crude, irregular style characteristic of a contemporary counterfeit struck in copper. The shield is set within the field and encircled by a peripheral Latin legend separated by pellet stops. The overall execution is coarse, with poorly formed lettering and uneven coin surfaces reflecting the illicit nature of the piece.

Reverse description A plain cross extending to the coin's edge divides the field into four quarters, each containing a segment of the peripheral Latin legend separated by pellet stops. The cross arms are boldly struck but irregular in execution, consistent with the clandestine manufacture typical of contemporary counterfeits imitating Reval pfennig coinage of the Livonian Order under Wolter von Plettenberg.
