These are surrounded by a beaded inner circle, outside of which the legend MOMBASA 1306 curves along the upper periphery in raised Latin capitals. The lower portion of the reverse is flanked by two symmetrical olive or laurel branches tied at the base, with a small ornamental device at their junction. The entire design is enclosed within a plain raised rim. |
