| Obverse description | Central device features the Philippine national coat of arms — a shield bearing a radiant sun with eight rays in chief, three five-pointed stars at the top corners and center, and a Philippine eagle displayed at the base — surmounted by a scroll inscribed ISANG BANSA ISANG DIWA (One Nation, One Spirit). The date is divided across the lower flanks of the shield.
