| Reverse description | Four lines of Arabic script in relief across the field, enclosed within a beaded border, continuing the honorific formula begun on the obverse. The inscription extols the sultan's greatness, beneficence, and felicity, and bears the AH date 1128 in the final line. The flat, unadorned field and irregular flan are characteristic of the hammered tin pitis series of the Sultanate of Bone. The lettering is bold but somewhat crudely executed, consistent with locally produced coinage of the early 18th century. |
