Jegerhallen — "The Hunter's Hall" — is a long-running Oslo restaurant, and this small paper token was issued for internal use, almost certainly as a meal voucher or staff coupon redeemable for a single pizza. This kind of printed scrip was common among Norwegian restaurants and canteens through the latter half of the twentieth century, avoiding cash handling for subsidized employee meals.

No central authority oversaw these issues, and survival is purely accidental — most were redeemed and discarded.
