| Obverse description | Black on green underprint. The bank title "LLOYDS BANK LIMITED" is inscribed in large bold letters across the upper portion, below which a central vignette presents an elaborate scrollwork cartouche with a rearing horse at its centre. The promise-to-pay text is rendered in copperplate script, with the denomination "ONE POUND" in a dark panel.
