| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black on a green-tinted guilloche underprint, with the bank title LLOYDS BANK LIMITED arched in bold letterpress at the top, beneath which a small vignette of a horse and rider appears within an ornamental frame flanked by the legend INCORPORATED IN ENGLAND. A sailing ship vignette is positioned at lower centre, with the promise-to-pay text rendered in script, the value ONE POUND set in a decorative panel at centre, and the issuing place DOUGLAS, ISLE OF MAN at lower left alongside the handwritten date and two manuscript signatures for Accountant and Manager.
