| Reverse description | Central field bears a multi-line nastaliq inscription enclosed within a double-lined oval or pointed cartouche, recording the mint name and regnal year. The legend reads 'Zarb Dar al-Saltana Isfahan' (struck in the seat of the sultanate, Isfahan) with the AH date 1241 in the lower portion. A beaded or dotted border encircles the entire design, a hallmark of Isfahan mint issues of this period. Decorative floral or rosette devices fill the secondary field between the cartouche and the border. The reverse composition is consistent with Qajar provincial mint practice under Fath Ali Shah. |
