Reverse description A schematically rendered eagle facing left with wings spread wide, perched atop a cippus (funerary or honorific pillar), all executed in a barbarous imitative style with bold, simplified lines. The composition closely imitates Roman quinarius reverse types, though with notable stylistic distortion typical of Germanic tribal die-cutters. A fragmentary and debased Latin legend, reading AVASI, encircles the design in the field, representing a corrupted rendering of an original Roman reverse inscription.
