| Obverse description | Irregular cob flan bearing a partial royal legend in Latin around the periphery. The field shows the crowned royal arms of Castile and León, characteristic of the macuquina (cob) coinage struck under Carlos II. The striking is typical of hand-hammered cob production, resulting in an irregular outline and partially visible design elements. The mint mark and assayer initial appear within the legend field where legible. |
