| Obverse description | Draped bust of Carlos IV facing right, wearing a cravat and elaborately curled wig tied with a bow at the nape, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail. The effigy occupies the central field with the legend distributed around the periphery. A small hole is visible at the top of the coin above the bust, consistent with suspension use. The portrait style reflects late Spanish colonial baroque engraving traditions. |
