Obverse description Draped and laureate bust of Charles IV facing right, occupying the central field. The king's effigy is rendered in the neoclassical style typical of the Spanish colonial milled coinage. A continuous Latin legend encircles the bust, with the date placed in the lower exergue area. The portrait follows the standardized royal effigy design introduced across the Spanish colonial mints during the reign of Charles IV.
