Reverse description Cob-style reverse featuring a bold Jerusalem cross with flared arms, dividing the field into four quadrants. The cross is flanked by the pillars of Hercules with crowned globes, representing the New World territories of the Spanish Crown. A partial tressure border and remnants of the mint mark and assayer initial are visible in the field, consistent with Potosí cob coinage of the period. The irregular planchet characteristic of hammered macuquina production results in portions of the design and surrounding legend being off-flan.
