Obverse description Central device features the national emblem of Oman — two crossed khanjar daggers overlaid on a pair of crossed swords — rendered in high relief against a polished field. The Arabic legend البنك المركزي العماني (Central Bank of Oman) and سلطنة عمان (Sultanate of Oman) arc across the upper portion of the inner circle in two lines, while the denomination ريال واحد (One Rial) appears to the right and ONE RIAL to the left of the central emblem. The outer legend CENTRAL BANK OF OMAN curves along the lower rim and SULTANATE OF OMAN appears within the inner circle below the emblem, all separated from the rim by a continuous beaded border.
