| Reverse description | The colorized reverse commemorates the 40th anniversary of Oman's first oil export. At the top, a curved red banner bears the Arabic inscription 'سلطنة عمان' (Sultanate of Oman) with the national emblem above it. The central field displays a polychrome map of Oman in gold tones, with a red pipeline route connecting the oil fields of Marmul, Natih, Fahud, and Jibal to the capital Muscat, annotated in Arabic. An oil derrick appears to the left of the map, and a colored oil tanker is depicted to the upper right.
