| Obverse description | Portrait of Sultan Sir Hassanal Bolkiah occupies the central-right portion of the note, set against a fine guilloche underprint in light tones. The national flower of Brunei, the Simpur Gajah (Riverside Simpor, Dillenia beccariana), is rendered in an intaglio vignette to the left of the portrait. Bilingual inscriptions in Malay and Jawi script appear across the upper and lower registers. |
