| Obverse description | The state coat of arms of the Republic of Belarus occupies the upper central field, depicting a sun rising over a globe flanked by wheat sheaves interwoven with clover and flax blossoms, surmounted by a five-pointed star. To the lower left of the arms appears the legend '916.7 ЗОЛАТА' (916.7 gold) and to the lower right '7.98 ГРАМА' (7.98 grams), denoting the fineness and weight of the coin. Below the coat of arms, the Cyrillic inscription 'РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ' (Republic of Belarus) is rendered in two lines across the central field. The date '1996' is positioned at the bottom of the field. The entire design is enclosed within a finely beaded inner border. |
