The upper register displays the mint name Multan (ضرب ملتان), indicating the place of issue, while the lower register records the AH regnal year. The flan is irregular in outline, consistent with hand-hammered manufacture, and the surfaces display the characteristic flow lines and die-shift typical of Durrani rupees struck at the Multan mint. |
