The Quaid-e-Azam Memorial Fund was established after Muhammad Ali Jinnah's death in September 1948 to commemorate the founder of Pakistan. Donation receipts of this type occupy an awkward space in notaphily — neither banknote nor bond, but printed on cotton paper in banknote format and frequently catalogued alongside currency issues of early Pakistan.
Whether these were produced by the Pakistan Security Printing Corporation or through an outside printer remains a matter of some dispute among collectors of the series.
