| Obverse description | The Omani national arms — a khanjar dagger superimposed upon two crossed swords — is depicted centrally within a beaded inner circle. The Arabic legend above the arms reads the ruler's name and title, with a secondary Arabic legend below. Surrounding the inner circle is a decorative border composed of alternating five-pointed stars and crescents, enclosed within a denticulated outer rim. The overall design reflects the traditional heraldic style adopted at the outset of Sultan Qaboos bin Said's reign. |

| Reverse description | The reverse features the Arabic numeral '1' prominently displayed in the center of the field, denoting the denomination. The legend 'ريال سعيدي' (Saidi Rial) arcs across the upper portion of the field, while 'سلطنة عمان' (Sultanate of Oman) is inscribed along the lower portion. The Hijri date appears in Arabic numerals above the lower legend. Two small representations of the national arms — the crossed swords and khanjar — flank the central numeral on either side, and the entire design is framed by a denticulated border. |
