Reverse description A displayed eagle, facing left with wings spread, occupies the central field within a dotted inner border. The eagle, emblem of the Bishopric of Ösel-Wiek, is rendered in the crude but vigorous style characteristic of hammered Baltic schillings of the period. A Latin circular legend surrounds the device, identifying the mint city of Arensburg. The overall strike is typical of small-denomination ecclesiastical coinage of Livonia.
