Obverse description Draped and laureate bust of King George III facing right, rendered in high relief with fine classical detailing. The laureate wreath is tied with a ribbon at the nape, and the drapery is visible at the truncation. The peripheral legend reads GEORGIUS III · D:G · REX · in Roman capitals, distributed around the upper and lower fields. The coin is bordered by a fine inner beaded rim.

Reverse description Central field displays the denomination ONE STIVER in two lines, surmounted by a large royal crown. The central devices are flanked by two symmetrical oak branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow, forming a wreath open at the top to accommodate the crown. The date 1813 appears in the lower exergue below the wreath. The circular legend COLONIES OF ESSEQUEBO & DEMARARY TOKEN runs around the periphery, with a fine beaded inner border.
