| Obverse description | Central field bears large Chinese characters reading 光緒銀元 (Kuang-hsü Yin-yüan, meaning 'Kuang-hsü Silver Dollar') with the denomination 庫平一兩 (one tael, treasury standard weight) at the bottom. The legend 新疆省造 (Made in Sinkiang Province) arcs around the upper periphery. A small Manchu or Uyghur script inscription appears in the center field, flanked by floral rosette ornaments at the sides. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with a reeded outer rim. |
