Reverse description The reverse field is entirely occupied by a densely packed multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script, recording the sultan's regnal titles, the Sunni Kalima, and the name of the Abbasid Caliph as a mark of legitimacy. The legend fills the flan without a central medallion or bordure, a hallmark of Muhammad bin Tughluq's brass token coinage. Strike is bold but slightly uneven owing to the hammered technique, with some areas of weakness at the irregular flan edges. The reverse typology follows the standard Tughluqid epigraphic format catalogued under Mitchiner WI#2597.
